During October 10-15, 19th International Conference on Harmful Algae, Mexico 2021(https:\/\/www.icha2021.com\/Secciones\/inicio) was organized virtually. In spite of COVID-19 disease, ICHA has received 406 contributions from 47 countries, with 247 oral contributions, 40 speed talks, and 110 posters.<\/p>\n

We are very happy to inform that from our SATREPS MACH project there were three scientist who have presented their work on oral session related to the research progress on MACH project as following.<\/p>\n

  1. Satoshi Nagai (National Research Institute of Fisheries Science), Genetic analysis revealed large genetic breaks among Pacific Rim populations in Alexandrium catenella.<\/li>\n
  2. Andr\u00e9s \u00c1vila\uff08La Frontera University\uff09\u3001, Long term composition of 16S-based bacterial communities associated with algal bloom events in northern Chile.<\/li>\n
  3. Kyoko Yarimizu (Hiroshima University), Harmful Algae Monitoring on San Jorge Bay in Antofagasta, Chile. (https:\/\/ir.lib.hiroshima-u.ac.jp\/files\/public\/5\/51492\/20211015144435841410\/ICHA_YarimizuK_SM-A-29.mp4<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u00a0The MACH project is advancing in its objectives thanks to the work of its researchers and will be carrying out various activities in a post-pandemic scenario.<\/p>\n
