The opening ceremony was organized at Center for Modeling and Computer Science (CMCC), with the presence of authorities of UFRO, along with the project members and other Japanese research members. The server was presented as \u201cSoroban\u201d (Japanese term for Abacus),<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1206 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mge.hiroshima-u.ac.jp\/SATREPS_MACH\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/2-1024x767.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"449\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mge.hiroshima-u.ac.jp\/SATREPS_MACH\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/2-1024x767.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mge.hiroshima-u.ac.jp\/SATREPS_MACH\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/2-360x270.jpg 360w, https:\/\/mge.hiroshima-u.ac.jp\/SATREPS_MACH\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mge.hiroshima-u.ac.jp\/SATREPS_MACH\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/2-768x575.jpg 768w, https:\/\/mge.hiroshima-u.ac.jp\/SATREPS_MACH\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/2.jpg 1184w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><br \/>\n<strong><em>Prof. \u00c1vila expressed our gratitude to UFRO authorities (Dr. Hunter, vice rector of UFRO)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u3000\u3000\u3000This server is financed by SATREPS MACH project and will be maintained and operated by UFRO. The main purpose of this server is to conduct sophisticated DNA analysis of all the samples that have been collected by the project team, Instituto de Fomento Pesquero (IFOP),\u00a0 Los Lagos University and Antofagasta University, in order to analyze the interaction of microbes and algal species that cause HAB so that project team can develop forecast model of HAB, one of the main goal of the project.<\/p>\n<p>\u3000\u3000\u3000We would like to thank the following authorities of UFRO who have been supporting SATREPS MACH to accommodate the server in the facility of UFRO.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>UFRO Authorities<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong>Dr. Renato Hunter, Vice Chancellor for Research and Postgraduate<br \/>\nDr. Rodrigo Navia, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences<br \/>\nDra.
