Dr. Marco Campos, doctor in Science and Natural Resources, has started working on our project from April 2021 at UFRO as a laboratory assistant, replacing Dr. Ignacio Rilling, the former assistant. Dr. Campos mainly cooperates with UFRO´s research activities to progress our project, including the ‘holobiome’ analyses of all DNA samples extracted by other Chilean members.
On the other hand, Dr. Alejandro Murillo, doctor in biology – molecular genetics and microbiology, has started working as a Communications and Outreach Coordinator of our project from January 2021 at CREAN-IFOP, Puerto Montt. Dr. Murillo is mainly working to support and assist Chilean and Japanese researchers in having a concrete communication strategy in order to organize various outreach activities to achieve the project’s social implementation goals.
The MACH-SATREPS team wish them the best of luck, and we will work together to reach the project objectives during the remaining two years of execution
