On May 3rd, 2019 Universidad de Los Lagos (ULAGOS) and our project MACH jointly organized “1st Workshop: Biotechnological Challenge and Improvements for Sustainable Aquaculture in The X Region”. 

 In the workshop attended by the Vice Dean of Research, Dr. Sandra Ríos, Dr. Fumito Maruyama (Kyoto University), Prof. Milko Jorquera (Universidad de La Frontera), Dr. Cristian Segura (INTEMIT) and Dr. Leonardo Guzmán (Instituto de Fomento Pesquero) from MACH Project had presentations (Project map). At the end of the workshop, a panel-discussion was performed by Prof. Gonzalo Gajardo (ULAGOS) who organized this workshop as well as all the presenters with exchanging opinions with the participants including academic staff from ULAGOS, undergraduate and graduate students, people who graduated from ULAGOS, and work in the aquaculture business along with representatives from public (SERNAPESCA) and private sectors (Aquaculture-related companies). We explained to them the scope and future projections of the MACH.
